Weyinmi Popo is the managing partner of the London office. He specializes in private equity and M&A transactions. He regularly advises private equity sponsors, corporations, and family offices on strategic cross-border investments. Weyinmi’s practice has focused on Africa for over fifteen years and he is a native of Nigeria.
Prior to joining Asafo & Co., Weyinmi was a partner and head of the Africa practice at the London office of a U.S. law firm.
Weyinmi regularly contributes to thought leadership on issues regarding cross-border transactions in Africa. He is recognized in the leading international legal directories, including Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 EMEA.
