Aurélien de Castéja joined Asafo & Co. as a Partner in March 2026. He specializes in structured finance and banking transactions, with particular expertise in project finance, real estate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance (LBOs), and sovereign-related transactions. He advises governments, state-owned companies, investment funds, and private and institutional investors on the structuring and implementation of cross-border investment projects throughout Africa.

Before joining Stork Avocats, Aurélien spent thirteen years at Gide Loyrette Nouel, first as an associate and later as counsel in the Banking & Finance and Project Finance departments. During this time, he developed significant experience in complex financing structures for major projects across the continent.
