He advises clients across the full lifecycle of energy projects, providing strategic, transactional and regulatory guidance across nuclear energy, hydrogen development and offshore wind — sectors at the forefront of the global energy transition.
Maroof has a strong focus on international nuclear law and regulation. In the UK, he has advised on the regulation of plutonium stockpiles for reuse as fuel, the use of americium for batteries, the export of nuclear waste, and the legislative framework governing advanced nuclear technologies. He has also advised on the UK taxonomy regime for nuclear as a clean power source and on additionality criteria for synthetic fuels produced from nuclear energy.
