Andrew is an urban planning and environmental law professional with over 30 years of experience advising on major infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK and internationally. His expertise spans planning and development consent for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in England, complex infrastructure consents in Scotland and Wales, and strategic advisory work across energy, transport and environmental sectors. Projects he has advised on include nuclear new build and advanced nuclear technologies, energy transmission, wind and solar, airport expansions, deep-water ports, rail systems and energy-from-waste facilities.

Andrew is frequently called upon by governments, agencies and developers to navigate complex regulatory and planning environments. He most recently served as an Appointed Member of the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM), contributing to the UK’s Geological Disposal Facility strategy, and has held Board roles with the NDA Research Board, the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, and as a Non-Executive Director of Nevis Technologies Limited.

Andrew is a member of the Environmental Law Association, International Nuclear Law Association, International Bar Association, Royal Town Planning Institute and the Energy Institute, and contributes actively to national and international regulatory discussions.
