Billy is a Partner in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice. He specialises in employment and labour disputes, constitutional and administrative law matters, banking and commercial litigation, land and property disputes, public procurement, insolvency, and insurance law.
His practice is centred on helping clients navigate complex and high-stakes disputes through strategic advice, effective advocacy, and practical dispute resolution strategies.
Billy regularly represents clients before Kenya’s superior courts, including the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Employment and Labour Relations Court, and the Environment and Land Court. He has extensive experience handling contentious matters and is recognised for his ability to deliver pragmatic solutions tailored to his clients’ legal and business objectives.

- Kenya Ferry Services Limited – Representation in proceedings seeking to halt the construction, delivery, and commissioning of two ferries under a maritime infrastructure project valued at over KES 2.4 billion.
- Kenya Ports Authority – Defence of a constitutional and regulatory challenge brought by Container Freight Stations seeking to overturn the Authority’s cargo evacuation policy requiring the movement of cargo by rail from the Port of Mombasa to the Inland Container Depot in Nairobi, in a dispute with a value exceeding USD 100 million.
- Kenya Ports Authority – Representation in a constitutional petition concerning the division of functions between the National and County Governments, including claims that harbour operations at the Port of Mombasa constitute a devolved function.
- PrideInn Hotels & Investments Limited – Successful defence of a winding-up petition involving one of East Africa’s leading hospitality groups, safeguarding assets valued in excess of KES 4 billion and preventing the commencement of liquidation proceedings.
- Leading telecommunications company – Representation in a dispute concerning the collection, management, and distribution of royalties, including constitutional and regulatory questions relating to the legal framework governing royalty collection and payments in Kenya.
- Confidential Client – High-value banking and securities dispute involving efforts to restrain the exercise of a lender’s statutory power of sale in relation to properties securing facilities exceeding USD 26 million, raising complex issues relating to the validity and enforceability of security documentation.
