Patrick LARRIVÉ’s mission will involve increasing the office’s resources, so as to build up a team of approximately twenty associates and partners, thereby becoming one of the leading international law firms in Casablanca, capable of assisting its clients in Africa and in Europe in a significant number of areas and sectors.
“ASAFO & CO’s vision, which is to be a world-class law firm dedicated to Africa, is highly relevant in light of the current growth of Africa-related activity in this industry. The existing offices are made up of leading teams in French-speaking Africa and OHADA countries, in the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors, whether in terms of development or project financing. The addition of a top-tier team specialized in international arbitration has reinforced their position. By joining ASAFO & CO, we demonstrate our common vision and intend to take part in making the firm a leading firm in private equity and M&A in French-speaking Africa”, said Patrick LARRIVÉ, Managing Partner of the Casablanca Office.
“Casablanca’s financial market offers many advantages, and, in particular, a sophisticated legal and institutional framework, which gives it a privileged strategic position on the Continent. Considering the sectors in which we operate, the growing focus of Moroccan companies on Africa as well as the hub that the country represents for international investors, Casablanca appeared as a key addition to our project. We will reinforce the services we provide with Patrick LARRIVÉ’s team’s outstanding experience of practicing law. In addition, we will have a top private equity practice in Casablanca, leading to a focused collaboration with the rest of our offices”, said Pascal AGBOYIBOR, Managing Partner of ASAFO & CO.
