Akdital, Morocco’s leading private healthcare provider, has entered into a binding protocol to acquire 100 % of the share capital of Taoufik Hospitals Group (THG), in a transaction valued at USD 90 million. The closing of this transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
THG, founded in 2014 around the historic Clinique Taoufik and now comprising four specialized clinical establishments — Clinique Taoufik, Clinique Soukra, Clinique Ezzahra, and Clinique Hannibal — brings significant operational scale and clinical excellence.
This acquisition reinforces Akdital’s strategic intent to build a regional healthcare platform of excellence, leveraging THG’s strong clinical reputation and infrastructure to foster operational synergies, medical cooperation, and talent mobility across borders. It represents Akdital’s first direct establishment in North Africa outside Morocco, complementing earlier international initiatives in the Middle East.
The Asafo & Co. team advising on the transaction was led by Partner Patrick Larrivé, who was assisted by senior Associate Kamil Zizi and Associate Baptiste Persouyre, with the support of Sami Bennani, Assia Khalidi, Othmane Mestari, Souhail Sassi, and Adrien Trauchessec.
