Asafo & Co. advised AfricInvest, Amethis, IFC and Proparco in their acquisition of a majority stake in Netis, a pan-African telecom infrastructure service provider, and advised AfricInvest and Amethis in their co-investment agreements with IFC and Proparco.

A consortium of investors (AfricInvest, Amethis, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Proparco) acquired a majority stake in Netis, a major telecommunications infrastructure service provider operating in 15 African countries. Through its majority acquisition, the consortium aims to support the management’s ambitious growth strategy and contribute to Africa’s digital development, a key driver to the continent’s economic development and accessing global digital opportunities.

The Asafo & Co. team was led by partner Patrick Larrivé, who worked closely with associate Martin Van Box Som on the deal, and was supported by associates Zineb Benabdellah, Noor Rachid, Christy Komba-Malongo and Guy-Fabrice Holo for the due diligence aspects. The team also relied on support from our London and Nairobi offices.
