Asafo & Co. advised CESMA, a recognised Moroccan distributor of medical devices and healthcare solutions founded in 1987 by Azeddine El Khenati, on SoPharma’s acquisition of a majority stake in its share capital.
The transaction marks SoPharma’s entry into the medical devices sector and opens a new chapter for CESMA, which should support the company’s continued development in a rapidly evolving Moroccan healthcare market.
The deal is built on a partnership between SoPharma and Azeddine El Khenati, who will continue to support the company, its teams and its new shareholders throughout this new phase of development.
The Asafo & Co. team advising CESMA was led by partner Patrick Larrivé, who was assisted by associates Maxence Létisse (senior associate), Inasse Radouane and Baptiste Persouyre.
Ascent Capital Partners (IMAP Morocco) acted as financial advisor to CESMA.
